I am not sure how knowing this will ultimately be beneficial, but the researchers indicate that this could provide better treatment, so here it is:
According to a January 19, 2016 story reprinted on ScienceDaily.com, a University of Kent study found evidence that establishes a clear link between inhibition/anxiety with activation in the right side of the brain.
The study blindfolded the participants, who were asked to walk in a straight line across a room toward a target previously seen; the ones with anxiety walked with a leftward trajectory.
The article went on to add that “individuals suffering from right-sided neglect may benefit from interventions to reduce anxiety.”
